St. Louis professional and award winning photographer, Katie Strzelec, is a retired professional dancer who has been perfecting her art of photography for the past 11 years and counting.
She has become a favorite wedding photographer by couples, both near and far, and was awarded Wedding Wire's Couples Choice Award in 2020 & 2023 Best of Zola. Currently, she is open to destination weddings upon request & availability.
A Little Note from Katie...
Talent & passion may have pulled me into photography, but it is more of a spiritual connection that I feel leads me to all the moments, the settings, and the people that I feel I am ever so blessed to be able to photograph.
I love embracing honest + raw emotions, as well as the unexpected candid moments. I am a believer that some really special moments can stand on their own and are not always in need of direction. If people are able to connect to one another in the moment and truly be present with one another, those are the greatest moments that I love capturing.
Photography, to me, is such an incredible blessing. To have the capability to be able to preserve a memory, and a moment in time with the details, the people, and the emotions into a story book full of irrepressible emotional moments that can last a life time and be passed on for generations.
I love film and emulating film with my digitals, and editing with light and airy style that will remain timeless for generations.

Katie works hard to help support her family and run her small business at the same time. She's a wife and a mother first; photographer second.
She believes in capturing the memories of the precious time we all have together, but equally makes sure not to always be behind a camera and sitting at the computer editing, and makes sure to be present in the special moments
she is also experiencing with her loved ones.
It took some practice, but she balances it all very well while maintaining her expectations, both as a business owner & mother.
